Our signature VSH Italian/Carniolan mixed hybrid queen leads each colony—a dedicated breeder line developed from VSH survivor stock at USDA labs and Ohio breeders. These queens bring hygienic behaviors to control pests naturally, large colony populations for productivity, and a temperament that makes managing your hive a more relaxed experience. - What’s Included: A fully functioning nucleus colony in a disposable deep 6-frame wooden nuc box, containing:
- 1 x 2026 laying VSH Italian/Carniolan mixed hybrid queen
- 4 x frames of brood in all stages (eggs, larvae, pupae) with adhering bees
- 2 x frames of honey, pollen, and bees
- Queen Genetics: Raised from inseminated hybrid VSH breeder queens originating from USDA Baton Rouge Lab and Ohio Queen Breeders stock.
- Queen Traits: VSH survivor stock bred for hygienic behavior, large populations, strong honey production, gentle temperament, and reduced swarm tendencies.
- Delivery Information:
- This product requires a minimum order of 10 nucs per delivery location, which can be combined by multiple buyers.
- A $15 transport fee is included in the $295 price.
- Delivery available early to mid-April 2026, with South Texas orders day in Georgetown, TX.
- Please contact us to coordinate delivery or check if a delivery is already scheduled in your area.
- 7-Day Warranty: Before delivery, each nuc is personally inspected to confirm a queenright colony with at least four frames of healthy brood and resource frames. We provide a 7-day replacement or refund warranty from delivery date for non-performing nucs. Claims must be made within that period.
- Please Note: These are live bees—success depends on beekeeper management and environmental factors. We’re proud to offer locally raised bees that give your hive a solid start.
