These queens are instrumental in maintaining healthy, pest-resistant, and productive hives.
Raised right here in North Texas, our queens are not subjected to the stress of long-distance shipping. They are selected for the key traits that matter most: hygienic behavior to naturally manage pests, strong brood patterns for rapid colony growth, and a calm disposition that makes hive inspections more pleasant. Whether you’re looking to improve the stock of an existing colony, create a new one, or simply be prepared, investing in a quality, locally-adapted queen is one of the most important steps you can take for your apiary.

- What’s Included: 1 x Marked, Mated 2026 VSH Italian/Carniolan Hybrid Queen in a cage with attendants.
- Queen Genetics: Our 2026 queens originate from VSH Breeder Queens from the USDA Baton Rouge Bee Lab Pol-Line stock.
- Key Traits: Bred for VSH survivor stock, hygienic behavior, large colony populations, strong honey production, lower swarm tendencies, and a typically gentle nature.
- Pickup & Delivery Information: This is a pre-order for customer pickup or coordinated delivery only. We do not ship queens.
- Availability: Queens will be available after April 1, 2026. We will contact you to schedule your pickup.

- Coordinated Delivery: If you are part of a nuc delivery, we are happy to bring your queen order with your nucs.
- From the Farm: We offer a small inventory of these queens, primarily as a service to our nuc customers and local beekeepers who share our commitment to raising strong, healthy bees.
- Please Note: Successfully introducing a new queen requires specific beekeeping knowledge and techniques. The success of introduction is dependent on the beekeeper’s management and the condition of the recipient hive.
